Predictable Quitters
Can we finally call Girija and the mob incompetent idiots?
The Maoists have quit in front of the whole world and now there's nowhere to hide. Everyone can now see that Girija has neither the talent nor the will to unite anything.
Once again people, there is no government and no cooperation of any kind in Nepal.
Watch the media mishandle the whole story. The Times, in typical British laziness, has already fallen back on old cliches: blaming the whole thing on the King's birthday party., more or less.
No matter what you read, believe the following:
--The Maoists were NEVER a part of government and NEVER renounced violence.
--The Maoists used the government process to further their own agenda and gain insight.
--The Maoists never surrendered weapons of worth or negotiated in good faith.
--No regime in Nepal has been as autocratic as Girija's. He refuses to compromise or negotiate.

This is only a bluff by the Maoist murderers. They will not leave the government, it’s too lucrative for them to do so.
They will come up with some feeble excuse to take back their resignation letters in the end, just watch! They know that they have no future without coming into mainstream politics.
It's all drama to make their bargain. Do not be surprised if all SPAMMers and Maoist divide the seats and make the greatest drama of the century.Maoists do not simply have the guts to go in election independently. If they could, they would have already convert the interim parliament into Constitutional assembly. I doubt, they'll try again to do so.
Good call sarki dai as the Maoists are already backing down.
Lots of brinkmanship from irrelevant and ineffective players.
Anon, dead on. Pick a name saati and continue to comment on this thread. Maoists have only one bargaining chip: the threat of returning to the jungle and increasing violence. they are testing the power of this tactic now. The problem is, if they DO quit for good, the Yanks will continue to brand them as terrorists and even Ian Martin won't be able to give away enough to make them credible again.
As long as Prachanda plays along and goes with the government, the world will give his pathetic rabble more than its due of attention. If they leave, they will be no more than thugs and listed among the thousands of terrorist groups operating throughout the world on ideology, violence and no clue on how to govern.
Frankly, blogdai welcomes a split. It was phony from the beginning and it will lead to a long overdue purging of these violent morons from the Nepali political diaspora.
