NC Unification Imminent! (Who Cares)
Deuba and Girija prepare for another pointless round of their worthless dance.
Nice to see Girija a Deuba finally tying the knot. We should expect an announcement of Party unification "any day now," or as we've heard over the past years: "imminently," "by Tuesday," and "in a few days."
These guys want to unify? Who cares? Nepal is falling apart. This moot gesture shows where all Nepali politicians' place their first priority: Solidifying their political positions.
Let's see:
1. Kapalvistu is on fire and on the verge of a regional conflict.
2. Maoists have quit the government.
3. Mahdesi concerns and Terai violence have yet to be addressed.
4. We are nowhere closer to holding election this November than we were 10 years ago.
So, blogdai thinks it makes perfect sense to consolidate political power over all. If this is all our new government can accomplish, then Jana Andolan was a waste of time and we are all puppets. Blogdai says this idiotic reunification will not happen. The only reason I see for reunification is so that Deuba can posture and threaten to split the party again. All one has to do is look at the history of this Nepali Congress dance of fools to see where we are headed.
Factional infighting brought down girija's NC in 1994 and a formal party split made it official in 2002. Sound familiar?
Girija and Deuba play the split/unification game as some sort of brink inducing game to gain political leverage. They care not about making a good government.
Remember what blogdai has said before: Girija has neither the talent nor the desire to unify anything!

And now here it is, unification is now "official." the political pancake has flipped once again.
Blogdai guarantees this as sure as the sun rises: THE NC WILL EVENTUALLY SPLIT AGAIN.

You are absolutely right, they 'll split again when this octogenerian vulture falls in the hell. No doubt on that.....
And my other prediction is that NC will lose the election. I do n't believe that people will vote on their past voting history anymore. It's the voting between republicanism and constitutional monarchy. If congress goes for republicanism, then they have to fight with UML and Maoist for their political agenda.
There are still so many people who favor 2046 constitution, but they are silent for two reasons. The first one is fear and the second one is lack of leadership to raise their voice. The most important thing is to unite all those in favor of 2046 constitution and go for the election united. Girija will see his congress with himself in the hell.
Blogdai,
eventually has no time line. So i guess your prediction would eventually come true. But i agree with most of what you have said. The forces that are/were responsible for the destruction of Nepal as an independent and a functioning state have united again. I guess this calls for a celebration.
However, i think split NC would work better in the interest of Nepali democracy than a united one. At least there would be more than one option for those whould not want to vote for communists.
Why isn't Blogdai writing about the Madhesh issue? Looks like he's lost the heat; political debate about Nepal without issues of ethnic conflict is very incomplete these days, make your blog more interesting Blogdai!!
Girija sucker got a little too scared of the King's visit to the temple. The King should completely carry on normally. RNA should tell Girija and the government in very clear terms that the King needs security if the government can't provide the same and hence RNA will do it's utmost to provide security to everyone. RNA should grow some balls now. If it can't then we should take over the management of RNA.
Ahhh! Smell the sanity.
since blogdai has enabled comment moderation, all of the idiots have gone elsewhere.
If you'll remember, time and time again blogdai challenged the intellectually "challenged" to stop bitching, prove what they say, and figure out a way to get comments, good or bad, published. No, no, blogdai was the answer. It's our god given right to rant and scream and you'd better publish it, was the cry.
Well, now the barrier is up. You are forced to make sense. Can you do it? You'll notice both good and bad comments make it onto this thread so there MUST be hope for our whining babies. Can you try it?

Well, let me try. Here's some bitching:
Girija and Deuba unity one side, and Maoists eyeing to bring Madhav Nepal under its wings on the other side, proves they're all scratching for a coalition government, no election. NC obliging to most of Maoist demands- and helpless Girija's grin over recent YCL organized vandalization, lootings, killings. Proves NC is losing grip in the govt. Maoist are losing public support. There's no way out for both without a coalition. With Madhesi problem eminent, once the two big shots decide what the coalition will look like, Madhesi issue will be settled with a small share of the stinking pie, rest tensions will continue...
The most striking problem that will persist as long as Nepal stays a sovereign, independent nation is the rule of law. A liberal democracy to take root in Nepal, the minds and attitudes of the people, starting from the ruling elites, need to Change. When I say minds and attitudes, I mean a 'culture' of thinking, doing, seeing, interpreting- learning to look at a 'bigger' picture.
Amen.
It looks like the king is starting to be active again.
Blogdai, How long before he brings back the 1990 Constitution??
