Tribuvhan International Airport opened a few hours ago. One international flight took off for India per our sources.

Main Maoist leaders Baburam Bhattari, Prachanda and others have fled Nepal for northern India

Are you sure about the airport? I jsut spoke with Royal Nepal airlines, and they say they are NOT flying it as of this time. Thai Airlines isn't open yet, so I can't ask them. I did hear that a plane flew either into or out of the airport yesterday- it was not clear from the report which way it flew.

An Air Sahara flight took off for Delhi after 3 pm yesterday. As of this morning the king has announced that all flights have resumed.

You will never get a straight answer out of Royal Nepal Airlines. They are as corrupt as the government, under investigation for embezzlement, and about to close up shop for good. They are to be eclipsed next year by Air Nepal International as de-facto Nepal flag carrier.

Correction: The first plane to leave Royal Nepal Flight to Delhi. They were probably telling you that they were not flying just as their plane was taking off. Sounds like RNA. -blogdai
