Hi, I am concerned about a guy I met in Nepal. His name is Wade and he was one of the owners of Borderlands resort. Any info is helpful. Tina

Tina, you mean Wade Campbell. As far as I know he and Megh Ali parted ways and Wade is no longer directly involved with Borderlands. WORSE news is that he was last reported in Sri Lanka, yes, during the tsunami.
We have been trying to find him since that time.

Wade, if you're out there, give us a yell; or if anyone knows where Wade is these days, post here. Blogdai will continue contact with Nepal in order to find this guy. Will try Megh Ali again, but this is typically a waste of time. Will publish Wade's photo.

My husband is at a gathering at a monestary just outside of Kathmandu, due to return home late Feb. I am assuming that he will be safe and that planes will be running again by then. Am I being naive?

I'm concerned about my partner who has done a 10 day trekking in the Annapurna's. I haven't heard from him for 10 days, and I 'm very concerned if he's OK.
He should be back in Pokhara today.

Hi there. This is a little different inquiry. There are many of us foreigners who are in the process of adopting children from Nepal. Since the communication break down we are unable to contact the facilitators and others in Nepal who care for our children. In my case, this is a 5 year old child whom I came to meet last May. There have already been long delays in the process because of this reason and that reason. I am very discouraged about what this latest development may do to the process. Is there any way that you might be able to find any information about whether the CDO and the Ministry of Women and Children are continuing to process cases at this time, or what kind of delays we might expect in these cases. Please help. I love this little boy with all my heart and want to bring him home. Thank you for any information or thoughts that you or others might have......An expectant Mother

I appreciate your concern but I'm afraid your adoption process might be frozen for a while. Under the best of conditions, 2 months would be optimistic in Nepal. Frankly, there really is no such thing as a delay-only Nepali-time. Best you can do is wait until the ban is lifted and try again. When you initiate a process like adoption in Nepal, be advised that your western timeframes and sense of expediency do not apply.
